Flow of Book Donations
Application
Universities wishing to request donations are requested to apply using the e-mail form.
Currently, we only accept applications from universities with Japanese language departments. We do not accept applications for donations to individuals.
Information gathering (on-site and online)
After receiving your application, we will ask about your university’s Japanese language education and library. An on-site survey or online meeting will be scheduled.
Conclusion of memorandum
of understanding
If approved for donation, a memorandum of understanding will be signed between your university and JSS.
Selection of desired
books for lists
JSS will send a list of books to your university. Please select the books you want. Repeat the inquiries until the number of books reaches a certain level.
Donation
Once a certain number of books is reached, JSS will make export arrangements.
All shipping costs and customs duties to the recipient university will be paid by JSS.
We ask for your cooperation in procedures and other matters relating to export.
Receipt
Upon receiving the books sent, please issue a receipt.
Please promote the use of the books within your university.
